Patricia Kay Fordham
Ph.D. - Business Administration
Previous Degrees:
M.S. - University of Utah
B.S. - University of Utah
Profession:
Teacher - Salt Lake City, UT

"I studied at major traditional universities, University of Utah and Utah State," says recent KWU doctoral graduate Patricia Kay Fordham. "The Kennedy-Western curriculum for the Ph.D. program in business was totally on the same level as other universities. I wanted courses in organization and management and that's exactly what I got."
She wanted to get her Ph.D. degree for years, but just couldn't accumulate enough courses and couldn't leave her teaching position with the Granite School District for a sabbatical leave to allow her to attend classes and satisfy the residency requirement for a traditional doctorate. "I knew it had to be done with an online program," she says, "and when I checked out KWU, it looked like the best program available."
Gail Keyser
B.S. - Business Administration
Profession:
Contract Compliance Analyst - Dallas, TX

"I always wanted to finish up my college education," says recent KWU graduate Gail Keyser. "A whole group of my friends and coworkers, lead by my husband, were very supportive of my decision to go after my Bachelor's degree. And, all of them were so excited and proud of me when I actually finished the program."
Gail's job at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport kept her very busy during the week, so she couldn't imagine trying to earn a degree in the traditional setting of evening classes. "I didn't want to have to go out at night and I wasn't ready to spend hours in a classroom after an 8-10 hour day at work," she says. "I looked into online programs and what I saw about Kennedy-Western University impressed me and I went ahead and enrolled."
Michael Norcia
M.S. - Business Administration
Previous Degrees:
B.S. - University of Connecticut
Profession:
President, Medical Device Business Consultants - Tarpon Springs, FL

After completing several graduate level courses at a traditional university in Connecticut, Medical Research Scientist and Project Manager, Michael Norcia was offered an exciting V.P. position with Medical Device Designs, Inc. in Florida. Taking the job meant that he'd have to drop out of graduate school. "The opportunity to advance my career was terrific," he says, "but it put my M.B.A. plans on hold. But, when I got some information about Kennedy-Western University, I saw that I could get credit for the courses I had already taken."
"My new job required a good deal of travel, so I found the self-paced learning strategy of KWU to fit my lifestyle perfectly," he says. "No matter where I was I could take my books and laptop with me and study or access resources at KWU through the student web pages. Kennedy-Western allowed me to continue my education and get the M.B.A. that I so dearly wanted."
